State College of Florida Collegiate School (SCFCS)

Final Information Session Scheduled for 2010-11 School Year

The last information session for the 2010-11 school year has been scheduled for parents interested in enrolling their children, entering sixth or seventh grade in State College of Florida Collegiate School (SCFCS).

This two-hour information session is a requirement of the application process. The session is scheduled for:

  •  Thursday, July 15, 6:30 p.m., SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 19, room 113

Parents must attend this session to obtain an application for their children to be included in the random selection process that will be used to fill any open positions for the 2010-11 school year.

SCF’s tuition-free public charter school provides students with the opportunity to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and Associate in Arts (A.A.) college degree. SCFCS will start with sixth and seventh grades this fall.

In subsequent years, the school will include sixth through twelfth grades to offer a seamless continuum of education from middle school through high school where students will explore their potential, discover the importance of higher education and receive personalized attention in a close-knit school setting.

Recruitment for openings in fall 2011 will begin after January 2011.
