+ Students may elect to earn an SCF A.S. degree if they
complete a Gordon Rule math course in place of the A.A.S.
degree program's minimum math requirement.
Articulated credit from a technical institute/secondary school may be applicable. Contact the SCF director of career and technical education for more information.
Students enrolling in this degree program are eligible for the A.S./A.A.S. Guarantee Program and may obtain eligibility and application information from the program manager or career resource center.
Students who want the Florida Child Care Professional Certificate must complete EEC 1000, 1001, 1601 and EDG 1319 and register with SCF's corporate and cummunity development at 941-363-7203.
Students who want the National CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential must complete EEC 1000, 1001, 1601 and 1319 and apply to the National Council for Early Childhood Recognition to complete the credentialing process. The Council's number is 1-800-424-4310.
Students who need to meet the Department of Children and Families requirement for the Foundation Level Director Credential must complete EEC 2002. The courses that meet the DCF Advanced Level Director Credential requirement are EEC 2202, 2527 and 2520.
