CHAMBER CHOIR (MUN 1340)

SCF Bradenton

The Chamber Choir is a select small choral ensemble of mixed voices.  Members of this ensemble develop skills in the performance of vocal chamber literatue from a variety of musical styles and periods.  Off-campus performances and tours are available to students in Chamber Choir.  Students interested in membership should contact the Coordinator of Choral/Vocal Studies for an audition.

COLLEGE ORCHESTRA (MUN 1210)

SCF Bradenton

The orchestra gives several concerts each year in Neel Auditorium, a major cultural center in Manatee County. In addition to these concerts, the orchestra may take part in choral concerts and in small opera and musical presentations.

The SCF Concert Choir is a performing choir of mixed voices dedicated to the rehearsal and perfomance of various styles of music composed for large vocal choirs. Membership is open to all SCF students and staff desiring to make a commitment to choral music performance.

This ensemble presents formal concerts on campus and locally performing repertoire selected from the finest compositions in guitar ensemble literature.

Studying the various styles, phrasings and concepts of the jazz idiom, this group's repertoire includes student arrangements and compositions.

MUSIC THEATRE ENSEMBLE (MUN 1640)/OPERA THEATRE ENSEMBLE (MUN1652)

SCF Bradenton

Students enrolled in this class will perform in either musical theatre scenes (Fall) or Chamber Opera/Opera scenes (Spring) at a performance near the end of the semester.  This class is a workshop experience designed to provide students with an opportunity to develop both vocally and dramatically through the study and performance of dramatic musical literature.  Students interested in participating in this class should contact the Coordinator of Choral/Vocal Studies.
