        exam?
4.   I was unsuccessful on only one portion of the TEAS. Can I retake just the section
      I was unsuccessful on?

    1. I have passed the TEAS. What next?

IF YOU HAVE PASSED ALL THREE SECTIONS OF THE TEAS:
If you have taken and passed the TEAS at State College of Florida, you have completed an important step in the process of preparing to apply to the nursing program. You must apply to the nursing program during the open application period. Refer to the SCF's nursing application process webpage .   NOTE: TEAS scores are valid for one year from your SCF testing date.

2. I took the TEAS for the first time and was unsuccessful. What do I do next?

If you do not pass the TEAS on your first attempt, you are entitled to retake the exam one additional time after 60 days . It is highly recommended that you study and/or take remediation courses (see Laurel Ash, Learning Specialist for more information, ashl@scf.edu ) before retaking the exam. ATI produces a study guide, "TEAS Pre-Test Study Manual" and offers an online series of practice exams. See " PREPARING FOR THE  TEAS " for ordering information.

Example: If you first take the TEAS on July 1st, you may retake one time on or after September 1st. Tests retaken less than 60 days from the first testing attempt are not valid and will not be accepted. You will have forfeited your second chance with the TEAS, regardless of the results.
You may also make an appointment to see the Nursing Learning Specialist for additional assistance. The Learning Specialist, Laurel Ash, can be reached at ashl@scf.edu .

  3.  VERY IMPORTANT: Do not register for a TEAS retake date less than 60 days from your original entrance exam date (NET or TEAS) test date. Example: If you first take the TEAS on July 1st, you may retake one time on or after September 1st. Tests retaken less than 60 days from the first testing attempt are not valid and will not be accepted. You will have forfeited your second chance to take the TEAS.

4.   No. You must retake the TEAS in its entirety. See the rest of the retake rules for more information.
