Formats of eLearning Class Delivery:
- An
online course
is one
in which 75% or more of the course is delivered online.
Students may be required to come to an onsite meeting for no
more than 12 hours in a 3-credit course.
- A
blended course
is one
that combines both online and face-to-face activities. The
online activities are regularly scheduled and replace
seat-time. By definition, no less than 30% and no more than
74% of the course is delivered online. Therefore, a 3-credit
blended course could require from 13 to 36 hours of in-class
time, with the remainder of the course delivered online.
