State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota, guided by measurable standards of institutional excellence, provides engaging and accessible learning environments that result in student success and community prosperity.

The Facilities Department develops, operates, and maintains a high quality physical environment that is conducive to the College's mission of keeping the learner's needs at the center of decision-making by providing a serene, attractive, clean, and safe environment.  This entails constructing and remodeling buildings and keeping them in good repair, keeping the landscape trimmed, and keeping all areas safe from hazards.

Purpose

The Facilities Planning & Maintenance Department oversees the entire Physical Plant of the College consisting of real estate, buildings, and building installed equipment on the Bradenton, Venice, and Lakewood Ranch Campuses.

The Facilities Planning & Maintenance Department provides a safe, healthy and comfortable environment conducive to the learning mode of the students to accomplish their educational goals. To provide the best environment for our students, the Facilities Planning & Maintenance Department is charged to manage the functions of:

  • New Construction, Renovation and Remodeling Projects Acquisition  (conception planning through design and construction)
  • Building and Utility Systems Maintenance
  • Grounds and Athletic Fields Maintenance
