SCF Scholarship Flea Market to be Held Jan. 16
(Bradenton, Fla., Jan.10, 2010) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Student Government Association (SGA) and No Name Tennis Club will host the 24th Annual Scholarship Flea Market at 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 16, in the parking lot at 26th St. West and 60th Ave. West at SCF Bradenton.
SGA and the club will sell small, donated items and will make rented space available to those who want to sell items for their own profit. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser provide scholarships for SCF students. Last year, more than 100 vendors participated and about $1,600 was raised.
The No Name Tennis Club is a group of retired American and Canadian tennis enthusiasts who play on SCF tennis courts. Members of the club serve on the SGA Single Parent Scholarship Committee with SCF students and faculty, and club members assist at SGA-sponsored cookouts.
Rental space is $12. In event of rain, the flea market will be held Sunday, Jan. 17.
