SCF to Offer New Motorcycle Course

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 12, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer a new Group Riding Seminar this spring.

Designed for advanced riders, the seminar covers topics such as proper distance, universal hand signals and other safety measures.

Seminars will be held at 6:30 – 8 p.m. on the following dates:

• Thursday, Feb. 4, March 4 and April 1 at SCF Bradenton, 5480 26th St. West

• Wednesday, Feb. 17, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

The cost is $15 per rider or $10 each for two riders.

In addition, popular Basic Rider courses also are offered at SCF Bradenton and SCF Venice each weekend. The cost for the class is $225 per rider or $199 each for two riders who register together. Motorcycles are provided.

The Experienced Rider course is for those with at least one year of riding experience. The course is offered through the Florida Rider Training Program at SCF Bradenton on the last Sunday of each month. The cost is $135. Participants must provide their own motorcycles.
