Studio 84 Productions Presents "Dracula"

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 3, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Studio 84 Productions will present “Dracula,” a faithful adaptation of Bram Stokers' 1897 novel. The production will be held at 8 p.m., Friday - Saturday, Feb. 19 -20, and Thursday - Saturday, Feb. 25-27, in the David S. & Anne W. Howard Studio Theatre, located in building 11 West at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West. A matinee performance is scheduled at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28.

Written by American playwright Steven Dietz, the play chronicles Transylvanian Count Dracula’s efforts to exert his will upon London as several residents fight to save themselves from a hideous fate.

The play is directed by Kenneth Erickson Jr. Cast members are Jeff Beghtel as Seward; Colin Brady as Harker; Kate Hoffman as Mina; Carl MacMichael as Renfield; Katelyn Studer as Lucy; Grace Vitale as Van Helsing; and Gilbert Ortiz as Dracula. Other cast members include Rachael Bayor, Mary Bellows, Nicole Cunningham, Adam Condor, Emily Jamieson, Janet Raines, Edson Seide and Michael Walton.

General admission is $10. Tickets are $5 for students and SCF employees. Coupons for two-for- one tickets are available to guests who make a blood donation at Florida Blood Services locations in Manatee County.
