Going Global Series at SCF Lakewood Ranch

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 18, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Corporate and Community Development (CCD) will host a Going Global series this spring at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East.

Sessions, held at 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays, include:

• March 18, Export Sales Channel Development, understand how to conduct international market research, determine the best export sales representatives to hire and establish export pricing policies;

• March 25, Understanding International Standards and Regulations, learn how to obtain a mandatory conformity mark, determine the need for an export license and protect intellectual property abroad;

• April 1, Export Logistics, learn how to lower shipping costs, expedite delivery times, simplify customs processing and entice buyers;

• April 8, Methods of Export Payment, learn how to determine whether a profit margin justifies extending credit or warrants a price raise and how deferred payments affect cash flow and day-to-day operations.

The cost is $149 for each session or $400 for the full series.
