SCF Venice Business Club Excels in State Conference
(Bradenton, Fla., April 21, 2010) —State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) business club members were recognized by the SCF District Board of Trustees at the April meeting for excelling in the 2010 State Leadership Conference held in Tampa on March 18-20.
Winners were Kerri Tindall, third place, client service; Ashley Darr and Holly Herman, fourth place, hospitality management; Ethel “Mickie” Abel, fourth place, small business management plan; Brayan Felipe and Brian Abel, fifth place, management analysis and decision-making. Brian Abel also won fourth place in financial analysis and decision-making.
PBL winners who have won first through third place awards, their advisers and state officers have been invited to attend training workshops in May to prepare for the PBL National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., on July 9 -12.
Dr. Louis Okonkwo, professor, business and technology, is the PBL Venice adviser and Florida PBL District IV director.
