SCF Dental Hygiene Students Excel on National Exam
(Bradenton, Fla., April 29, 2010) — One hundred percent of the six-member 2010 graduating class of the State College of Florida (SCF) Dental Hygiene Program passed the Dental Hygiene National Board Examination. Graduates of SCF’s program have boasted a 100 percent pass rate on the national examination for the past ten years of the program’s existence.
SCF’s two-year Dental Hygiene Program was developed in response to local dentists’ demand for hygienists. It prepares students for employment as dental health educators and clinicians in a variety of settings that include private dental practice, public health departments, institutional and research facilities, and public and private schools. Graduates receive associate in science degrees and are eligible to take state and national licensing examinations.
