SCF Trustee Robinson Recognized at Her Final Board Meeting
(Bradenton, Fla., May 19, 2010) —Christine Robinson, a Venice resident, was recognized at the May 19 meeting of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees. Robinson, who was appointed to the board in 2007 by Gov. Charlie Crist, was attending her final Board meeting as a trustee after announcing that she would not seek reappointment due to family and career demands.
SCF Board Chair and fellow Venice resident Steve Harner, and SCF President Dr. Lars A. Hafner presented Robinson with a framed resolution honoring her service to the board, students and faculty.
Noting that Robinson served on the board during a presidential search and a transformational period of mission expansion and enrollment growth, Harner said, “Christine has diligently represented the College’s interests, particularly from Sarasota County, and has been an advocate for students and faculty.”
Robinson thanked her fellow board members, Hafner and SCF administrators for their support during her tenure. “The professionalism of everyone I’ve met at SCF has been great and I really appreciate the courtesies that have been shown to me,” Robinson said.
