Information Sessions Scheduled for RN to B.S.N. Program at SCF
(Bradenton, Fla., June 7, 2010) - State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer information sessions for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program.
Students eligible for the RN to B.S.N. program must have completed prerequisite courses and have or obtain a Florida registered nurse license.
Hour-long information sessions are scheduled at the following three campuses:
• 10 a.m., Thursday, June 24, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 29, room 106; 7:30 p.m., Monday, July 19, and 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, at SCF Bradenton, building 29, room 139.
• 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, Tuesday, July 27, and 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 2, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800, room 852.
• 10 a.m., Thursday, June 17, and Tuesday, July 20 and 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East, room 142.
SCF's baccalaureate nursing program began January 2010 and was developed in response to the need from local hospitals and healthcare providers for highly educated nurses. Designed to allow registered nurses to complete their bachelor's degree locally in 15 months, the program couples experience with advanced nursing education, preparing students for roles in leadership, management, and community and public health.
