Enrollment Open for Summer Noncredit Classes
(Bradenton, Fla., June 15, 2010) — Registration is under way for noncredit classes offered for all ages at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) this summer.
Classes include foreign language, writing, finance and retirement planning. SCF offers opportunities for individuals to hone their computer skills through courses in digital photography, beginning computer and the latest version of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Courses for businesses through the Small Business Development Center are offered on basic bookkeeping, Internet marketing, social networking and women/minority certification.
Those wanting to advance in or change their career path can pursue short-term specialized training. Private investigator, guardianship, child care, security officer, insurance and real estate professional development classes are offered at SCF locations.
Popular classes to help individuals on the job hunt include Job Interview Secrets and Resumes that Work.
Kids' Summer Spectrum, a summer enrichment program for children ages seven to 13, offers courses in arts and crafts, cooking, science, computer, tennis, rugby, dance and more. Information is available at scf.edu/KIDS.
