Corporate and Community Development Tops $1 Million in Revenue
(Bradenton, Fla. July 1, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Corporate & Community Development recently reached an historic milestone by exceeding $1 million in gross revenue in one year for the first time.
In the past year, more than 11,000 people participated in classes and events offered by the college’s noncredit division, which provides continuing education, personal enrichment, traffic safety and workforce training.
In response to the business community’s needs, SCF’s Workforce Solutions trained employees at companies, large manufacturers and local municipalities through a partnership with Suncoast Workforce, which provided support through Employed Worker Training funds.
The Small Business Development Center at SCF also is a rich resource for the businesses community, providing free consulting services to small business owners and entrepreneurs.
With a strong track record of responding to the community’s needs, SCF’s CCD division is on the cutting edge, exploring opportunities to expand offerings in many areas including sustainability and innovative business partnerships.
