SCF to Host Entrepreneurial Seminar
(Bradenton, Fla., August 26, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Corporate and Community Development, in partnership with the Sarasota County Economic Development Council, will host a free seminar, “Recession Antidote: Entrepreneurial Success,” from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, in the Selby Room at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.
Designed to help those interested in starting a new business, the seminar includes topics such as corporate structure; funding, financing and banking; marketing and branding strategies and entrepreneurial success.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Rod Casto, vice president for research at University of South Florida. The series will feature a panel including Steven Grieco, an attorney for Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP; Carolyn Griffin, director of SCF’s Small Business Development Center; Jeff Kratsch, chief innovation officer of MarketsBeyond; and Loretta Mathushek, Florida First Capital Finance Corp.
A light breakfast and lunch will be served at the seminar.
