SCF Recognizes Promotions, New Faculty Members and Collegiate School Instructors

(Bradenton, Fla., September 9, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) recognized returning faculty members who earned promotions, new faculty members and new SCF Collegiate School (SCFCS) instructors at SCF Fall Faculty Convocation.

The following SCF faculty members were promoted to professor: Dr. Jane Duke, language and literature, and Dr. Joni Pirnot, mathematics. Promoted to associate professor were: Julie Francavilla, mathematics; Dr. Priscilla Glanville, language and literature; Pamela Kennard, dental hygiene; Courtney Ruffner, language and literature; and Dr. Kathryn Stuckey, social and behavioral sciences. Promoted to assistant professor were: Dean Anthony, fine and performing arts; Christina Dwyer, mathematics; Mary Lazier, language and literature; Dr. Angelique Medvesky, language and literature; Brandon Montgomery, fine and performing arts; and Maria Spelleri, language and literature.

New faculty members include: Anna Wasilewska, lecturer, mathematics; Rebecca Williams, instructor, mathematics; Brent Cheyne, instructor, occupational therapy assistant program; Nina D’Andrea, assistant professor, nursing; Richard McKee, instructor, language and literature; Dr. Jose Ors, assistant professor, natural sciences; Robin Rogers, instructor, language and literature; Kristen Zaborski, instructor, business and technology.

In addition, new SCFCS instructors were introduced including: Holly Cole, language arts and civics; Ryan Hale, mathematics; Kelly Monod, civics and world history; William Newell, life science and earth/space science; Catherine Randazzo, physical fitness, dance, body management, and exploratory wheel; Katherine Steen, language arts; and Deane Western, mathematics. Linda Benware is the SCFCS head of school, and Dr. Cyndi Reynolds oversees curriculum and instruction.
