SCF Music Faculty Martha Lopez Presents Soprano Concert

(Bradenton, Fla., September 28, 2010) — Concert soloist Martha Lopez, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) voice instructor, will present a classical voice recital at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, in the Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.

The recital features music from a variety of composers including Johann Sebastian Bach, Milhaud Leo Delibes, Heitor Villa-lobos and Richard Hunley. Lopez will be accompanied by Lurray Myers, piano, special guest artists Deborah Polkinghorn-Suta, mezzo-soprano, and Roman Vazquez, guitar, and the SCF Chamber Orchestra.

Lopez recently appeared in concert with the St. Petersburg Opera in Florida. She performs regularly in recital and as a concert soloist throughout Southwest Florida. Lopez earned her bachelor's degree in music from Stetson University and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of South Florida.

General admission is $8. Tickets are $4 for students and SCF employees.
