FSU/Asolo Conservatory to Perform "Antigone Now" at SCF Bradenton

(Bradenton, Fla., October 18, 2010) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host the FSU/Asolo Conservatory performance “Antigone Now” at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25 and Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the Fine Art Gallery at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 11 North. The performance is free and open to the public.

“Antigone Now,” by Melissa Cooper, is a modern story inspired by Sophocles’ classic Greek tragedy, “Antigone.” Set in a city reeling from the aftershocks of war, a young woman challenges the principles of authority.
