SCF Studio 84 Productions to Present "A Nice Family Gathering"

(Bradenton, Fla., October 18, 2010) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Studio 84 Productions will present “A Nice Family Gathering” at 8 p.m., Friday - Saturday, Nov. 19-20, Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 22-23, and Friday - Saturday, Nov. 26-27, in the David S. & Anne V. Howard Studio Theatre at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 11 West. A matinee performance is scheduled at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 21.

The heartwarming comedy by Minnesota playwright Phil Olson takes place on a chaotic Thanksgiving Day as three grown siblings return home for their first holiday dinner following a death in their family 10 months earlier.

The comedy is directed by Kenneth Erickson Jr., SCF assistant professor and Neel Performing Arts Center manager. SCF staff members Milagros Duket, fine and performing arts department secretary, and James Thaggard, Neel box office manager, will portray the parents of cast members (SCF students) Austin Peed, Zach Burkholder, and Rebecca Moore. Other SCF student cast members include Sally Fint, Megan Sicks and Jeff Beghtel.
