Annual Holiday Ceramics Sale Dec. 2 - 3 at SCF
(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 9, 2010) — One-of-a-kind ceramics made by State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) art students and faculty will be for sale 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 14.
SCF’s Annual Holiday Ceramics Show and Sale is a popular event featuring hundreds of unique, functional and sculptural pieces of high-fired stoneware and porcelain clay. Local customers may order custom-made pieces to be available to be picked up prior to Christmas.
The ceramics were produced in the Art and Design Building that offers students the use of car kilns for high temperature glaze firings, a fast-fire raku kiln, electric kilns, a salt kiln currently being built on site and a studio for handbuilding and wheel-throwing.
