Family Heritage House Museum to Feature "A Tribute to Three Jazz Icons"

(Bradenton, Fla., January 28, 2011) — In celebration of Black History Month, the Family Heritage House Museum at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a jazz concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert, “A Tribute to Three Jazz Icons,” will feature soloist Katt Hefner singing songs by Grammy Award winner Nancy Wilson and Stan the Man on the Hammond B3 performing songs of organists Jimmy Smith and Jimmy McGriff. The concert also will feature guest saxophonist Butch Thomas.
