Theo Wujcik Discusses "Transformations" at SCF Fine Art Gallery

(Bradenton, Fla., February 9, 2011) —State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Fine Art Gallery will host a discussion by artist Theo Wujcik about trends in contemporary art relating to his exhibit, “Transformations,” at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 11 North.

The exhibit, “Transformation,” features paintings from Wujcik’s artistic phases between 2000 and 2010 including global warming, Chinese culture, academic blind contour and a combination of decorative and fine arts.

Wujcik is a professor emeritus of the University of South Florida where he taught from 1972 to 2003. Known for his silverpoint and lithographic portraits of famous artists including Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist and Jim Dine, he continues to paint and exhibit his work internationally.
