SCFCS Recognizes Recycled Bench and Solar Umbrella Donors

(Bradenton, Fla., June 16, 2011) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Collegiate School Head of School Kelly Monod and Traci Steen, SCF associate vice president of facilities, planning and maintenance, held a recognition ceremony on June 8 for donors of the recycled bench and the solar umbrella in the SCFCS courtyard.

BMK Architect, Sarasota, and AD Morgan, Bradenton, donated the funds for the solar umbrella, and Recycled Plastic Factory, an Englewood-based company, donated the bench made from milk jugs collected at EarthFest, a student-led event hosted by SCF on April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
