New Requirements for A.S. in Nursing Program

(Bradenton, Fla., August 10, 2011) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer information sessions about the new requirements for the Associate in Science in Nursing Degree Program.

Students applying for Fall 2012 admission must score at or above the national mean scores on the Test of Essential Academic Skills and have a valid Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license from an approved CNA program. Click here for a list of approved CNA programs.

The A.S. Nursing Program application period for the Fall 2012 term is Jan. 15 – Feb. 15.

Information sessions are scheduled at the following three campuses:

• 2:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12, and 8 a.m., Monday, Aug. 29, at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East, Medical Technology & Simulation Center, room 205; Tuesday, Sept. 20, SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. East, Sarasota, Medical Technology and Simulation Center, room 203

• 2:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, and 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800, room 852
