SCF to Host Meditation Series by Buddhist Nun
(Bradenton, Fla., September 15, 2011) — The public is invited to a meditation series, “Joyful Effort: Overcoming Laziness and Generating New Energy,” by Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Demo at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF). The series will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Sept. 19, Sept. 26, and Oct. 3, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail in the Selby Room in building 800.
Gen Kelsang Demo, a resident teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center in Sarasota, has been studying and practicing Buddhism for many years.
The series is sponsored by the SCF Philosophy Club and the Multicultural Diversity Committee.
