SCF Venice Creative Writing Club to Host Author Scott Browne

(Bradenton, Fla., October 12, 2011) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a discussion by author S.G. Browne from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800, Selby Room. Sponsored by Swamp Scribes, the creative writing club at SCF Venice, the event is free and open to the public.

At the event, Browne will read excerpts from his work, discuss his writing career and lead a question and answer session. Browne, a native of San Francisco, is the author of two novels including "Breathers," a dark comedy about a zombie's prospective of life after death, and "Fated" a comedy about fate, destiny, and the consequences of getting involved in the lives of humans.

Browne discovered his dream of becoming a writer after studying business organization and management at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif., from 1984 to 1989. He currently lives and writes in San Francisco after working in Hollywood as a driver and assistant producer for Disney Studios and Santa Cruz where he lived for 14 years working as an office manager and writing short stories and novels.
