SCF Studio 84 Productions to Present “Women in Power”

(Bradenton, Fla., November 10, 2011) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Studio 84 Productions will present an adaptation of Aristophanes’ “Women in Power” at 8 p.m., Nov. 18-19, 21-22, and 25-26, in the David S. and Anne V. Howard Studio Theatre, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 11 West. A matinee performance is scheduled at 2 p.m. on Nov. 20.

The musical production was adapted and directed by Ken Erickson, director of SCF’s Theatre Program. Lyrics were written by James Thaggard, SCF Box Office manager, and Ken Erickson’s daughter, Erin Erickson Saladino.

Cast members include SCF students Marina Kaminskiy, Sally Fint, Mary Bellows, Savannah Faircloth, Jenna Gagliano, Rebecca Moore, Pamela Dillon, Connee Therieau, Jeff Beghtel, Tyler Bazenas, Adam Condor, Nicholas DeLisi and Austin Peed.

This new adaptation contains mature subject matter, and this naughty, bawdy musical is not recommended for children.

General admission is $10. Tickets are $5 for SCF students and employees. Tickets will be on sale in the Neel Performing Arts Center box office, which is open 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on weekdays and one hour before each performance. For more information, call 941-752-5252.
