Fall 2012 SCF Collegiate School Information Sessions Scheduled
(Bradenton, Fla., November 17, 2011) – State College of Florida Collegiate School (SCFCS) will hold information sessions for Manatee County parents interested in enrolling their children entering sixth – ninth grades or 11th grade in Fall 2012.
Information sessions for 11th grade only will be held at two locations:
- SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, SCFCS, building 19, at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29
- SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. East, Center for Innovation and Technology, room 125, at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5
Information sessions for sixth-ninth grades and 11th grade will be held at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, SCFCS, building 19:
- 6 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9
- 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18
- 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31
As an innovative, technology-oriented school, SCFCS is a tuition-free public charter school that allows students to explore their potential, discover the importance of higher education and receive personalized coaching in a close-knit school setting.
In its first year, SCFCS earned an “A” from the Florida Department of Education (DOE) based on 2011 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test School Grades.
Students will attend college classes at SCF Bradenton beginning in 11th grade with
an opportunity to earn simultaneously a high school diploma and an associate’s degree.
A partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University provides a scholarship program for
SCFCS students to continue to FGCU for a baccalaureate degree after graduating from
