SCF Diversity/Multicultural Committee to Host “Through the Tunnel” Documentary

(Bradenton, Fla., January 30, 2012) — In commemoration of Black History Month, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Diversity/Multicultural Awareness Committee will show “Through the Tunnel,” a documentary film about the Lincoln High School Trojans football team from the last all-black Manatee County high school prior to desegregation. The event is free and open to the public.

The film will be shown at all SCF campuses at the following times and locations:

  • 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, Neel Performing Arts Center
  • Noon – 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 300, room 307
  • 5 – 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. E., Center for Innovation and Technology auditorium
