Lecture Series by Jewish Rabbi at SCF Venice

(Bradenton, Fla., January 31, 2012) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a four-part lecture series “Welcome to PaRaDiSe: Experience Judaism from the Physical to the Mystical in Four Weeks” by Rabbi Daniel Krimsky from 7 -9 p.m., on Wednesdays, Feb. 1, Feb. 8, Feb. 15, and Feb. 22 in the Selby Room at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. The event is free and open to the public.

Cosponsored by the SCF Multicultural/Diversity Awareness Committee and the SCF Philosophy Club, the lecture series introduces the community to local Jewish traditions.

Presently rabbi of the Jewish Congregation of Venice, Krimsky has worked with Jews from all backgrounds through youth organizations including United Synagogue Youth and Jewish Education Program. He has served as a chaplain, pastoral counselor, education director and youth group leader.

Ordained as a rabbi from Yeshiva in Israel, he has a master’s degree in educational leadership from Bellevue University and certificates in Jewish energy healing, Thai yoga therapy and hypnosis.
