SCFCS Selected as an Apple Distinguished School
(Bradenton, Fla., January 31, 2012) — State College of Florida (SCF) Collegiate School has been selected as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2011-2012 school year.
SCFCS was one of only 56 schools nationwide that earned the recognition for demonstrating Apple's highest vision of a successful 21st century learning environment by implementing innovative technology, including Mac notebooks and iPads, to promote students’ independent learning.
As an innovative, technology-oriented school, SCFCS is a tuition-free ‘A’ public charter school that allows students an opportunity to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate’s degree. A partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University provides a scholarship program for SCFCS students to continue to FGCU for a baccalaureate degree after graduating from SCFCS with an associate’s degree.
