“Neurobiology of Human Spirituality” Lecture at SCF Venice March 27
(Bradenton, Fla., March 6, 2012) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Philosophy Club will host a lecture by neurobiologist Dr. Alan Grindal from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800, Selby Room.
During his lecture, “The Neurobiology of Human Spirituality,” Grindal will raise awareness of the interrelationship of science and religious experiences. A discussion with opportunity for questions will follow the lecture.
Grindal is a neurological consultant for the Memory Disorder Clinic at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and clinical assistant professor at Florida State University. He earned his medical doctor degree from University of Illinois and bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He also has had a private practice in neurology in Sarasota since 1978.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required, but seating is first come, first serve.
