SCF Student Vocalists Perform Musical Theatre Scenes

(Bradenton, Fla., March 29, 2012) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) student vocalists will perform songs and scenes from the Broadway lexicon at 8 p.m., Monday, April 16, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West. The event is free and open to the public.

Students will perform songs from shows including "Title of Show," “Shrek,” “Legally Blonde,” “Spring Awakening,” “The Boyfriend,” “Oklahoma!,” “In the Heights,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Miss Saigon,” “The Rink,” “The Color Purple,” “Titanic,” and “Footloose.”

The SCF Collegiate School ensemble “The Eighth Notes” will also appear in the performance.

The performance will be directed by Melodie Dickerson, director of choral and vocal studies at SCF, and accompanied by pianist Lurray Myers. “Eighth Notes” will be directed by Catherine Randazzo.
