Occupational Therapy Assistant Graduates Pass Exam
(Bradenton, Fla., April 13, 2012) -- Ninety percent of the 20-member 2011 graduating class of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program passed the national certification examination on the first attempt.
OTA skilled health care providers work under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist to assist disabled people of all ages in acquiring or regaining independent living skills.
SCF's two-year, fully accredited OTA Program is a limited enrollment program that offers an opportunity to earn an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree. The program combines coursework at SCF with clinical experiences at health-care institutions in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
