Financial Aid for Summer Term Still Available
Pell Grant Funds Remain for Eligible Students
(Bradenton, Fla., May 15, 2012) — The Summer term started this week but there is still time to register for classes and submit applications for financial aid for Summer 2012 classes at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF).
Complete financial aid applications can be accepted in the financial aid office until the final deadline of June 30, 2012, although earlier applications are strongly suggested to allow sufficient review and ensure that all required information has been included.
Students requesting federal financial aid for summer courses are required to have a valid 2011-2012 FAFSA on file and have completed all necessary requirements. The form is available online at fafsa.ed.gov. The Summer 2012 financial aid application should be submitted only after students have registered for Summer classes.
Students requesting federal loans for Summer courses must be registered at least half time, defined as six credit hours.
Students who were enrolled part time (less than 12 credit hours in the preceding Fall or Spring term) could have Pell Grant funds remaining that can be applied to Summer classes. Students with remaining Pell Grant funds are encouraged to contact the SCF financial aid office as soon as possible to determine their individual eligibility to receive unused Pell Grant funds. Contact financial aid at 941-752-5037, Bradenton, or 941-408-1407, Venice, or via email at email@example.com. More information about financial aid is available at scf.edu/FinancialAid.
Summer A and Summer C classes began this week, and students can register until May 18. Summer B classes begin June 26 and can be registered for until June 29. Class schedules are available at scf.edu/ClassSchedules.
