Fall Term Begins Aug. 20
(Bradenton, Fla., August 14, 2012) — Fall term classes begin Monday, Aug. 20, at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF). Admission information is available on SCF's website at scf.edu/Admissions. View class offerings at scf.edu/ClassSchedules.
SCF offers associate degrees with courses available at SCF campuses and online for students who intend to transfer to university programs, start a professional career or continue at SCF in select baccalaureate programs. SCF offers eight baccalaureate programs including international business and trade and technology management starting in Fall 2012. Day and evening classes are held at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West; SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail; SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East; and online at scf.edu.
Associate-level tuition and fees are $102.48 per credit hour and baccalaureate-level tuition and fees are $113.64 per credit hour for Florida residents. Unlike other Florida state colleges and universities, SCF did not impose a tuition increase this year.
Other important Fall term dates include:
- Friday, Aug. 17, deadline to pay any tuition and fee balances not covered by financial aid; last day for submission of residency documentation for Fall term; last day for new student orientations for Fall 2012 classes starting Aug. 20-25.
- Saturday, Aug. 25, (online until 11:59 p.m.) last day for students to add/drop classes that began Aug. 20-25 with a refund. No refunds after Aug. 25.
During the month of August, student services office hours at SCF Bradenton and SCF Venice are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Thursday and 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
