SCF Cancels Operations and Classes Due to Hurricane Isaac

(Bradenton, Fla., August 25, 2012) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) offices will close and all classes and other activities at SCF Bradenton, SCF Venice, and SCF Lakewood Ranch and all other locations have been canceled Monday, August 27, due to Hurricane Isaac, announced SCF President Dr. Lars A. Hafner.

Only essential personnel for emergency operations as authorized by President Hafner or the SCF Critical Incident Management Team will be allowed on campuses during the mandatory shutdown.

Classes and all regular college activities are expected to resume their normal schedule Tuesday, August 28. Any change in the resumption of classes will be announced by SCF officials on the SCF website at , the SCF Facebook page , the local news media, and through emergency communications channels.
