SCF Recognizes Faculty and Staff Publishing Accomplishments
(Bradenton, Fla., October 3, 2012) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) recognizes recent faculty and staff publishing accomplishments.
Pam Kennard, associate professor in SCF’s Dental Hygiene Program, is a chapter author for the 11th edition of “Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist,” one of the most respected and widely used dental hygiene textbooks in the nation. Kennard’s chapter, “Tooth Bleaching,” discusses the history, mechanisms, materials, methods, efficacy, safety issues and care considerations of tooth bleaching and whitening.
Ena Michael, assistant professor, mathematics, is co-author of “Lucas’ Hyperbolae for Fibonacci Vectors” published in The Fibonacci Quarterly, a highly regarded international peer-reviewed journal.
Glenn Goonis, SCF manufacturing education grant projects coordinator, is coauthor of “For-Credit and Non-Credit Collaboration and Crossover: Building a Unified Education STEM Pathway for Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing” published in a recent edition of Catalyst, a National Council on Continuing Education and Training publication.
