SCF’s Gould-Choquette Recipient of 2012 FLATE Post Secondary Educator of the Year Award
(Bradenton, Fla., October 25, 2012) — StateCollege of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Emerging Technologies Program Director Adrienne Gould-Choquette was named the 2012 Florida Advanced Technological Education Center of Excellence (FLATE) Post Secondary Educator of the Year.The award is one of three given annually by FLATE to outstanding Florida educators who teach in disciplines that support manufacturing in their communities and throughout the state.
The award recognizes Gould-Choquette’s excellence in teaching and her work with local industry partners to improve SCF’s emerging technologies programs to meet the needs of students and regional advanced technology companies.
FLATE is a National Science Foundation Center of Excellence focused on improving workforce education for high-technology manufacturing by keeping the industry tightly connected with Florida community and state colleges.
Gould-Choquette is the Program Director for the Associatein Science (A.S.) in Engineering Technology and A.S. in Construction Management programs as well as the new Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Technology Management Program.
She will be presented with the award at the president’s award banquet during the Manufacturers' Association of Florida Annual Manufacturing Summit on Dec. 6 in Orlando.
