SCF to Host Lecture “The Florida Panther and the Need for Wildlife Corridors”

(Bradenton, Fla., November 5, 2012) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Philosophy Club will host a lecture "The Florida Panther and the Need for Wildlife Corridors" at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 15, in the Selby Room at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. The event is free and open to the public.

Presented by Elizabeth Fleming, environmental policy specialist for the Defenders of Wildlife, the lecture will raise awareness about biodiversity and how to create support zones on residential property to protect wildlife and preserve the environment. Following the public lecture, there will be a tour of the walking trail to highlight wildlife supportive areas at SCF Venice.
