SCF’s Sharples Promoted to Director of Admissions
(Bradenton, Fla., November 29, 2012) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) has announced the promotion of Stacey Sharples to the director of admissions.
In her new role, Sharples provides a vision and leadership for admissions and outreach at SCF. In addition, she provides oversight to international student admissions and SCF's early college department and represents the college by participating in community events and public speaking engagements.
Since first joining SCF as an enrollment services adviser 12 years ago, Sharples has supported college admissions and outreach in various positions. She advanced to outreach services adviser and later was promoted to coordinator of outreach and early college services.
Sharples was the recipient of the SCF Vice President of Service Excellence Award from the educational and students services division, Best Practice Award, and Association of Florida Colleges Unsung Hero Award.
Sharples earned a Master of ArtsinAdult Education from the University of SouthFlorida, Sarasota-Manatee after completing a Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Developing Human Resources. She has a Bachelor of Arts in French and German with an emphasis in secondary education from the University of Southern Indiana.
