SCF’s Hindenlang Named Dean of Nursing
(Bradenton, Fla., November 29, 2012) – Dr. Beverly Hindenlang has been named dean of nursing at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF).
Hindenlang, who has 36 years of combined experience as a registered nurse and certified nurse educator, will continue her roles as director of SCF's Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Services Administration Program and faculty member in SCF's Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program while expanding her administrative responsibilities as dean of nursing.
Hindenlang came to SCF in 2009 after serving for 21 years as a faculty member in nursing programs at St. Petersburg College in Florida, Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania, Conemaugh Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania and Roane State Community College in Tennessee.
Her professional experience includes working as a hospital staff nurse in the vascular surgical and surgical intensive care units at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, a staff nurse for Home Health Services in Michigan, a gerontology clinical nurse specialist and program director of the women's center at McLaren Hospital inMichigan and a registry nurse at Fort Sanders Park West Medical Center inTennessee.
Hindenlang earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2007. She is a member of the National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, Suncoast Organization of Nurse Executives and Nursing Consortium for Education and Collaboration.
