SCF Wind Ensemble Concert Feb. 19
(Bradenton, Fla., February 4, 2013) — The State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Wind Ensemble will present "Dances from Around the World" at 8 p.m., Feb. 19, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.
The program will consist of Brahms' "Hungarian Dances," Dvorak's "Slavonic Dances," an arrangement of the "Milli Attan: National Dance of Afghanistan," the Mexican dance "La Bamba De Vera Cruz" by Ethel Smith and "San Antonio Dances" by Frank Ticheli.
The concert also will feature clarinet soloist Laura Stephenson performing "African Dances" by Kit Turnbull.
The SCF Wind Ensemble is conducted by Robyn Wilkes, SCF director of instrumental studies.
