Rene Izquierdo to Present Master Class Feb. 21

(Bradenton, Fla., February 7, 2013)Classical guitarist Rene Izquierdo will present a master class at 3 p.m., Feb. 21, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.

A Cuban native, Izquierdo has appeared as guest soloist and in chamber music concerts throughout the United States, Cuba and Europe. He is the recipient of numerous awards and serves as a professor of classical guitar at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He graduated from the Guillermo Tomas, Amadeo Roldan Conservatory and Superior Institute of Art in Havana. He also earned a Master of Music and an Artist Diploma degree from Yale University School of Music.

The master class is presented in cooperation with Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota.
