SCF Nursing Faculty Members Receive Certified Nurse Educator Credentials
(Bradenton, Fla., February 12, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) recognizes five nursing faculty for obtaining Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credentials from the National League for Nursing.
Susan Donaldson, professor, and Dr. Ruth Anderson, professor, renewed their CNE credentials through professional development activities. Dr. Sue Garland, nursing department chair, Kendra Barber, associate professor, and Rosemarie Grebe, assistant professor, earned their CNE for the first time after passing a national examination.
The credential establishes nursing education as a specialty area of practice, demonstrates nursing faculty members’ expertise in their roles and communicates to students, peers, and the academic and health care communities that they have achieved the highest standards of excellence.
SCF offers associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing. More info about SCF’s nursing program can be found at scf.edu/nursing.
