SCF Mathematics Department to Sponsor Scholarships for Incoming First-year Students
(Bradenton, Fla., February 27, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) mathematics department is sponsoring two scholarships for students entering their first year at SCF in Fall 2013.
Each scholarship awarded to one Manatee County resident and one Sarasota County resident will cover a student’s first-year tuition at SCF.
Students are required to submit the following by Monday, March 25:
- an application;
- an official copy of their high school transcript; and
- a written essay about their interest in mathematics and related fields, including current activities and future educational and career plans.

The deadline for the full application is Monday, March 25. Students must pass a one-hour examination to be administered at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 27, room 123.
