One-of-a-kind Army Chopper Comes to SCF Bradenton March 6
(Bradenton, Fla., March 5, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Veterans Collegiate Association is hosting the U.S. Army Orange County Chopper, which will be on display from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, near building 14.
“We’re grateful that our partnership with the U.S. Army’s Recruiting Center has allowed us to display this one-of-a-kind chopper at SCF. It gives us another opportunity to share our experiences of serving in the United States military and raises awareness about the support we offer to fellow SCF student veterans through our club, ” said Jason Collins, president of the Veterans Collegiate Association at SCF Bradenton.
Built in 2005 by Orange County Choppers in New York, the unique chopper has a 134 horsepower engine with a six-speed transmission and weighs 560 pounds. Orange County Chopper bikes have been featured on American Chopper, a reality television series that airs on the Discovery Channel.
