SCF Wins $12,500 from Florida Blue Rewards for Wellness Program
(Bradenton, Fla., March 27, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) received a total of $12,500 from Florida BlueRewards for College employees’ participation in health screenings and personal health assessments in 2012.
SCF was one of seven colleges to receive $10,000 from Florida Blue for achieving at least 50 percent of employees’ participation for health screenings and an additional $2,500 for a participation rate of more than 90 percent. The funds are designated for SCF’s Wellness Program.
SCF’s Wellness Program is designed to encourage SCF students, faculty and staff to engage in a variety of activities that address seven dimensions of wellness: physical, spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, occupational and environmental. The Wellness Program provides incentives to participate in wellness screenings, physical activity, events on campus, the weekly farmers market and more.
